OK, so you want to sell your used car, but it annoys you that you have to pay a magazine or website just to show your ad. After all, you’ve done most of the work - you took the digital pictures, you wrote the ad, and let’s face it, cars are expensive enough anyway!
That’s why freecarclassifieds.co.uk has been set up.
We believe the power of the internet means that people should be able to buy and sell cars for free.
Our philosophy is simple – offer a free site which gives buyers all the same search features offered by the leading paid-for sites, and sellers/dealers more space to write about their cars, like the leading auction sites.
This way, if everyone takes the free option, no-one will ever have to pay to sell a car again! Then we can all spend our money on better things – like the car itself!
All you need to place your free car ads with freecarclassifieds is up to 4 digital photos (you don’t have to have these but free car ads are much more successful with them as people like to see cars before they buy).
You can place your free car ad as soon as you have registered, which only takes a few minutes, and you can advertise as many different cars as you want, provided each is done in a separate ad.
Remember: Don’t forget to renew your ad!!!
Once your ad has been posted it will appear in a buyer’s search for 6 weeks. To avoid cars which have been sold staying on the system, ads will be automatically removed from searches after 6 weeks unless you
renew them for another 6, and so on. There is no limit to the number of times you can renew your ad. We'll remind you with an email a few days before expiry date, too.
Many of you have asked if there is a fee when your car is sold, and the answer is easy - no! There are absolutely no charges for using this site, ever.
We have provided the best quality search facilities (see below for Advanced features) to make it simple for you to search for the car you want:
- Within each free car ad get full colour pictures and full descriptions from the owner or trader.
- Add items to your Short List to make it easy to narrow your search.
- If you find a car you’re interested in, email the seller or contact them by phone.
- Show all cars held by a dealer; email the trader or click through to the dealer’s website.
Advanced features for registered users:
freecarclassifieds.co.uk offers excellent search facilities to all buyers (eg. distance of car from your postcode), but also offers more advanced features to anyone who registers with us. These features are:
- save your searches to save yourself time next time you visit the site
- request email notifications which automatically let you know when cars matching your desired specifications become available
The internet is fast becoming the main way for people to search for the car they want before they have a look at the real thing.
Sometimes customers may have driven past your dealership on the way to work or heard about you through word of mouth but simply want to look at a car at their convenience.
freecarclassifieds.co.uk is a free way for you to do this. As the dealer network is such an important part of the second hand or used car marketplace, we have included the ability to display your dealer name so that customers can enter it to see all the stock you have posted on the site.
